Website design & Development: Case Study

Barber Hair Studio
& Training Academy

Background: the barbers had a website but was build many years ago and did not function on mobile so they knew they really needed a mobile-friendly website - one that responded to whatever device it was being viewed on.

The Brief: The barbers itself is multi-pronged - the primary service is of course an well-established and renowned traditional barbers for unisex and european hair, as well as the Piranha Academy which teaches students the art of barbering and hair styling.

Professional and efficient throughout and the aftercare is brilliant. Tom also did an incredible job creating our new branded flyers, their quality is excellent. Many thanks for all your help with creating the perfect website for me.

Laimar Swarray - Managing Director
The Challenge

Tradtional hair studio and the piranha barber academy

As Master Barber, Managing Director, Brian 'Barber B' Swarray had build up a huge, loyal client base after 30 years in the barbering industry, - but he's continued to push related interests, in particular his 'Piranha Barber Academy' in which he trains, teaches and assesses aspiring barbers.

The brief went beyond just a barbers, it included become a master of the barbering profession so we had to create NVQ details and course criteria. Together the website now promotes both hand-in-hand and have equally gone from strength to strength with the visits and website analystics continuing to impress.

What We Did

Mission Accomplished

Some things we really like
  • Clear service and prices overview
  • Barber & Stylist introductions
  • Opening times and directions
  • Barber Academy PDFs and coiurse information
  • Vocational and technical qualifications details

We created a website that encompassed everything(!) they wanted so on the one hand, people got the traditional barber information (contact details, opening times and so on), as well as showcasing the academy and training information for those wishing to pursue a career in male grooming and become a master of the barbering profession.

The Result: Whether you wanted just the barbers or training, the website tells all. Having become good friends with Brian and Laimar we are now working on re-branding the studio and a new website is in development as Laimar manages its new direction. Staff change, clients come and go but the brand is as strong as ever.
